Labour Day Annual General Meeting

Exhibition Ball games - Beaches Vs Beaches, SoB meeting, fun lawn games and feast. A 1-day Saturday only event starting around 8:30 Am to whenever!

More fondly known as Bucky's Bash

The event is held in Valencia Ontario (north of Port Perry) where we have access to ball fields, picnic area and several acres of manicured green lawn complete with ponds, at our host's country lodgings.

Attendance confirmation is required and it is open to all Sob members and adult family. All others by invitation only. It's a BYOB and lawn chair, but a fine meal is on the us. Campers are welcomed.

Warning: There are 2 set of directions here. One is to Bob's house where we feast. The other is to the park; where play the morning softball games. If you are going to the softball games - it is the 2nd set of directions and follow someone from there to Bucky.

From Toronto to the Valencia Park - where we play the Double Header
1	Hwy 401 to Hwy 12 Via Thickson Rd. out of Whitby, then
	North towards Manchester, keep on Hwy 12 until - Reach St (Durham Rd #8)
2	Right turn (east) on Reach St. to Simcoe St. turn
3	Left (north) on Simcoe St. pass Seagrave, to Victory County Rd #28 - turn
4	Right (east) on Victory Country to a Stop Sign (quite far) Turn
5	Right at stop sign to a General Store, - turn
6	Left at the corner. The park is 200 yd on your right.

The format

We meet for a double header between 8:30 and 9:00 am at Valencia Park in Valencia. Then off to Bucky's for a great meal and games. One of the main meeting objective is to elect next season's Executive and the Program Co-ordinators. This will give them time to get ready and take charge at the spring general meeting.

The Labour Day Bash requirements

The SoB meeting at Bucky's & Vera's and the Valencia fun games is probably the most looked forward to annual event by our Club members. To help make this event run smooth please indicate to the SoB secretary of your attendance: You will attend or you will Not attend!

Do this no later than August 15th with a YES or NO. If it is no, it is important that you tell us either way so we are aware that you have been informed and we don't do double duty trying to reach you at the last moment for confirmation. Update us if your situation changes - Yah or Nay.

Food planning for the many guest

To plan well for a successful a day, we need an exact head count in a timely manner; so our host can properly organise the food. Include: you, wives, and friends. Give us a total number or best guess. Please pass this message on to others (especially if they do not have e-mail).
